Babo Chianti 2023, from Tuscan vineyards near Empoli by Australian winemaker Justin Bubb at Babo, blends 95% Sangiovese with 5% Colorino for juicy, vibrant Chianti under screwcap, revolutionary and dangerously drinkable. Aromas burst with sour cherry, raspberry, sarsaparilla, clove, lavender and dried herbs, showing classic Chianti brightness with floral lift. On the palate, Babo Chianti 2023 reveals medium-bodied morello cherry tang, earthy spice, al dente tannins and sappy acidity that drives through to a savoury, persistent finish, pure "Beaujolais from Italy" genius.
