Château de Pibarnon Bandol Rouge 2020, Château de Pibarnon, Bandol. This is benchmark Bandol, predominantly Mourvèdre with a seasoning of Grenache, grown in steep, organically farmed amphitheatre terraces of limestone and blue clay that give both power and finesse. Expect dark, brooding aromas of blackberries, black cherries, violets, garrigue herbs, licorice and a subtle savoury tapenade edge, framed by cedary oak and spice.
