Domaine Georges Vernay La Blonde du Seigneur Côte-Rôtie 2021, under Christine Vernay in the famed Côte Blonde sub-region of Northern Rhône, is a beautifully poised Syrah (95%) with 5% Viognier. The nose emits fragrant red and black fruits - cherry, cassis - lifted by violets, dried rose and gentle spice. On the palate it delivers a refined, athletic profile: fine, silky tannins, vibrant acidity, succulent fruit and minerality drawn from the gneiss-rich soils.
