Domaine Georges Vernay La Blonde du Seigneur Côte-Rôtie 2020, vinified by Christine Vernay in the Northern Rhône’s Côte Blonde, is an elegant expression of Syrah (95%) with 5% Viognier. From 30- to 40-year-old vines planted on steep, granitic soils, this wine offers aromas of black cherry, violet, olive and black pepper, lifted by floral whispers and subtle smoke. On the palate it is full-bodied but finely structured: supple, round tannins, vivid acidity and a mineral backbone lead into a long, suave finish.
