Fetherston ‘Fungi’ Pinot Noir 2023 from the Yarra Valley is a light, juicy, very modern pinot with a real sense of freshness. It’s all bright red cherry, raspberry and cranberry, with hints of petrichor, sweet spice, wild herbs and a gentle undergrowth note that earns its Fungi name. The palate is light to medium‑bodied, high‑toned and textural, showing crunchy red fruits, sour plum, bay leaf and savoury forest floor wrapped in bright acidity and fine, crunchy tannins.
