Grown at 450m ASL. This wine is fermented in old French oak, then then matured in stainless steel. This reserve may be a ‘better’ wine than the 2022 Hishiyama Vineyard tasted the other day, though I prefer drinking the no oak number. A richer, more glossy expression of Koshu, but also has a distinct stony character running through it.
