Heidi Schrock produces some of the best Austrian sweet wines as well as interesting dry whites and reds. She took over her family winery in 1983, in the historic village of Rust situated near the Hungarian border. The south-facing vineyards near Rust form an amphitheatre around Lake Neusiedl. In this part of Austria, the yearly hours of sunshine are much higher than the Austrian average.
