Lacourte‑Godbillon Terroirs d’Ecueil Premier Cuvée is a pure, grower‑Champagne expression of Écueil on the Montagne de Reims, built mostly from Pinot Noir with a dash of Chardonnay for lift. It’s a Premier Cru Brut/Extra Brut with long lees ageing, giving a serious, vinous style that still works beautifully as an aperitif. In the glass, expect yellow and white fruits (pear, apple, apricot), citrus peel, kumquat and grapefruit, layered with brioche, bread crumb, hazelnut, almond and a distinct chalk‑saline line.
