Mulline Modewarre Fumé Blanc 2023 is a top-tier barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc from the Brown Magpie Vineyard in Modewarre, Geelong’s Surf Coast, recognized for its vibrant green-gold color and engaging aromatics of perfectly ripe white peach, herbs, flint, and subtle vanillin from French oak aging. The wine is whole-bunch pressed, 100% malolactic fermented, and matured in two 320L French ‘cigar barrels’ (50% new oak). The palate offers a chalky texture, precise focus, and very long, compelling finish with notable elements of gravels, stones, woodsmoke, and thistles.
