Plantagenet York Chardonnay 2024 by Plantagenet from Great Southern shows vivid peach and nectarine wrapped in creamy cashew, subtle brioche and lemon-zest acidity. Aromas of white stone fruit, warm spice and slate come through, while oak ageing adds toast and warming complexity without overwhelming the fruit. It earned 95 points in Halliday Wine Companion and is considered a serious, stately expression of cool-climate Chardonnay.
