In the glass expect deep ruby with garnet hints and aromas of sour cherry, blackberry and black plum, layered with wild herbs, licorice, vanilla, cocoa and a touch of leather and forest floor from its 18-20 months in French oak. The palate is full‑bodied and harmonious, rich dark fruits, chocolate‑covered strawberries and spice over fresh acidity and silky but assertive tannins, finishing long with a lightly toasty, iron‑mineral edge.
