Robert Stein Farm Series Merlot 2024 from Mudgee is a medium‑bodied, fruit‑forward red that shows classic regional charm, forest fruits, soft structure and just enough savoury bite to keep it interesting at the table. In the glass, it’s all forest berries and juicy plum, with dark chocolate, a little mulberry and gentle spice rolling through the palate. Tannins are supple and medium in weight, giving a smooth, easy flow and a comforting, cocoa‑tinged finish that makes it very drinkable now, especially as a mid‑week “house red” style.
