The Sara Vezza 2018 Barbera d'Alba Superiore Villar'o (a release of about 2,000 bottles) is a smooth and fruit-forward expression with lots of buoyant dark plum, blackberry and summer cherry. There are pretty mineral details and a hint or two of dark spice or rum cake. It could be a nice choice for fatty Chinese spare ribs.
