The Sara Vezza Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC immediately presents itself with a heady mix of cherry fruit and earthy goodness. With fruit sourced from several of the family's vineyards, you get the feeling that you are actually in the vineyard when you drink it. It's an elegant and pure wine which, given that it's a DOC, is supposed to be more "simple" than DOCG offerings, but the complex aromas and flavours, bright acidity, and fine tannin structure suggest that a lot has been packed into the bottle.
