Save Our Souls Sangiovese 2022, by winemakers Jason Searle & Bill Downie in King Valley, Victoria, is a graceful expression of this Italian variety with a natural-wine sensibility. Pale garnet in colour, it offers lifted aromas of rose petal, violets and red cherry, underpinned by earthy nuance and subtle herbal tones. On the palate it’s medium-bodied with a firm tannin structure, savoury depth and lingering mineral tension, finishing long and harmonious.
