The nose is highly perfumed with lavender, lemon blossom and ginger flower over white peach, nectarine and citrus, with hints of spice and gentle oak in the background. The palate is layered and textural, flush with citrus and white stone fruit, fine acidity, creamy lees and subtle oak seasoning drawing out a long, elegant finish. This is a cracking food Chardonnay for roast chicken with tarragon, pan‑fried snapper, grilled scallops, prawn linguine, or a rich mushroom and parmesan risotto.
