Te Mata Estate Gamay Noir 2025. Hawke’s Bay is a super-bright, chillable red, pouring deep ruby with a vivid purple rim and bursting with playful energy and vibrant, juicy fruit. Aromas leap out of the glass: candied cherries, ripe raspberry, cherry syrup, Turkish delight and bubble-gum notes, all wrapped in bright red-berry perfume. The palate is alive with ripe raspberries and cherry-juice flavours, carried on powder-light tannins and sweet-edged red-fruit acidity that keeps things refreshing, moreish and almost dangerously smashable when lightly chilled.
