The Hermit Ram Field Blend Amphora 2021 is a naturally made, skin-contact field blend. North Canterbury, New Zealand, raised in clay amphora for maximum texture and vineyard expression. It sits firmly in the “lo-fi” camp: organic fruit, wild ferments and minimal additions, with a cloudy appearance and loads of character. The blend typically includes aromatic and textural white and red varieties (with a strong gewürztraminer component) all co-fermented, giving intense floral aromatics, stone fruit, citrus peel, spice and a savoury, nutty, saline edge.
