Tumblong Hills J Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2021. Gundagai is a single-site cabernet that takes the ripeness of inland NSW and gives it a cool-evening polish. Ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and plum sit over bay leaf, tobacco and a touch of cinnamon-spiced French oak, with that red-volcanic-soil stamp of depth and warmth. On the palate it’s medium-full, graceful and complex rather than heavy, with concentrated dark fruit, poised varietal tannins and a bright acid line that keeps everything driving and fresh.
