Zidarich Terrano 2014. Zidarich in the Carso, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, is a striking and expressive red that shows the unique energy of this high acidity, iron rich variety. The nose is lifted and savoury, revealing sour cherry, wild berries and red plum, layered with dried herbs, earthy spice and a distinct mineral edge. On the palate it is medium bodied, vibrant and tense, with firm acidity, fine tannins and a saline, almost ferrous note that gives real personality and length.
